Living with M.S.

"Living with M.S. is sort of like training for a long race. The harder you try, and the longer you keep at it, the stronger you become.
Eventually, looking back, you may be amazed at the power you possessed, even when you had no idea it was within your reach." (Linda Ann Nickerson)

Jolts - Facing MS symptoms from A to Z

Multiple sclerosis has frequently been compared to a malfunctioning electrical symptom. When MS flares up, symptoms that feel a lot like sparks may be felt. We might even call them jolts.

MS-related jolts may take various forms.

MSers often describe pin prick sensations, painful twitches, or even electrical-like shocks.

Many experience Lhermitte’s Sign, which is a sudden jolt of pain that zips down the spine, especially when they tip their heads forward towards their chests. This strong and uncomfortable symptom, which is generally brief (but intermittent) may also be felt in the extremities.

It’s enough to make an MS warrior a little jumpy.
