Living with M.S.

"Living with M.S. is sort of like training for a long race. The harder you try, and the longer you keep at it, the stronger you become.
Eventually, looking back, you may be amazed at the power you possessed, even when you had no idea it was within your reach." (Linda Ann Nickerson)

A-Z promising quotes: Grinning

Sometimes it seems like a grin is all that’s left. MSers know the feeling, especially when our bodies betray us and fail to cooperate. Lots of us try to hang onto our grins, even when it gets really hard.

Maybe that’s sort of what English writer Lewis Carroll (1832-1898) meant, when he wrote this part of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

I wanna hang onto the grin. Maybe the Cheshire Cat was onto something.
